-How I act-

Personality
Despite both great loss and pain having touched her, Olympia keeps her head up and tries to be as friendly and thoughtful as possible. She is keen to remember names and other things associated with each individual. An avid writer, most who correspond with her are treated to quick lengthy replies. Although, she is easily frightened due to her inability to see and past circumstances, that fear is rarely shown. Logical and with great strength of will than most would believe, Olympia does not view herself as a victim and does her best to help others. Like her brothers, she was brought up with the belief that hard work and strength of heart is all that is required for a good life and she does her best to remember that.
She is rather quiet, enjoying to express herself through her music and writing, which she gives a great deal of time to.
Although she loves children, they often are difficult for her to handle as they require a great deal more attention and energy than she usually can afford. Having lost her own child, she lavishes the love she would have given her son on her nieces and nephew.

Around Family/Friends
Those very close to her would see a side not unlike the one she shows to others. At times she is easily angered, her confusion morphing into anger, though it rarely lasts long. Mostly content to whatever is thrown her way, she enjoys time spent with her few close friends and her family.
All of her nieces and nephew are dear to her and she goes out of her way to ensure they are well aware of her affection for them, showering them with gifts and her attention when they visit her.
Since she depends so much on magic, Olympia does not have many muggle friends, except her sister-in-law Theodora, who does not care that she is a witch, instead finding the magical world amazing.
Her beau is muggle-born but well-immersed in the magical world. With him, she is the most open, keeping very little of her feelings or emotions from him. He likewise is very open with her and she enjoys soothing his fears and listening to his joys. However, he is often too frank with her and there are times when she is hurt by his honesty or view of the truth.

Around Enemies
Anyone she views as an enemy is avoided like the roses she loathes. If she cannot avoid them, she gives the best effort at being nice to them, allowing someone else to take care of the situation if it reaches a point where she is overwhelmed.

Usual Mood aorund strangers:
Anyone unfamiliar is usually ignored. Her world is small and she does not care to broaden her tiny horizons. When someone is properly introduced to her by someone she cares about, that person is treated with the best of her care. But for the most part, Olympia could care less.

-History-

Your Story Please?
Olympia grew up as the youngest in the Gryffindor family, adored by her parents and three elder brothers. She was spoilt from her first breath, but developed a caring spirit despite it. Still easily prone to become ill with fevers and chills, her nurse and mother rarely allowed her to go outside or play as much as she liked.

When she was five, her mother died, although she did not truly feel the loss until years later. It was watching her father cry over meals and the missing place at the table that brought the sensitive child to tears. She asked her nurse what had happened to her mother and was told that the angels had taken her. Olympia's response was that she hoped the angels gave her mother hugs every morning.

Her health did not improve as she become older, each year becoming more lovely. At the age of seven she went to live with her Aunt Nairne, but soon returned home after she became very ill. Her aunt convinced her father that herbal medicines would help his daughter and so Olympia was taken to several muggle physicians, all of whom were powerless to help her, though they did their best.

During her times of sickness, she developed a love of the music she heard her brother, Cesan play on his lute. As a favour to her on her ninth birthday, Cesan taught her to play his beloved instrument. She took to it with a fervour that surprised her nurse. A muggle healer suggested that the music might help her health and so she was also taught to play the harp and the mandora. Her health improved dramatically within the first few months of her playing but then declined as swiftly, the fault lying with another healer, who thought bleeding and sweating would further help the young girl. Instead of helping, the fevers that gripped her from the weakness robbed her of her sight as by her tenth birthday she saw only darkness instead of the bright sunlight touching her face.

Now without her sight, she continued to play becoming adept at pulling the most hauntingly beautiful of songs from the strings unseen by her eyes and yet outlined by her passion. She also began to sing, though her voice was far too weak to carry through the songs she would have delighted in singing. Still, her desire to continue to live allowed her to break through the haze of fevers and by strength of mind, Olympia enjoyed a period of better health.

By the time she was twelve, the suiters that her aunt had promised to never come, came in abundance. Her delicate health did little to taint her beauty and vibrancy of mind and character made up for whatever she lacked. She delighted in playing to the applause of the worshipping men, both young and old.

When she was fifteen, a proposal of marriage came from the Lord Cosgrach McTavisk, a man of such grace in manner and character that she soon found herself head over heels in love with him. He was nearly twenty years older than her, but they held much in common, both delighting in music and the study of it. He did not care that she was blind and she did not care that he was muggle. With the blessing of her father and brothers, Olympia married the lord a few months after their engagement and happily moved with him to his estate.

Their marriage was short-lived, even though they were blissfully happy. Only a month into their marital life, Olympia was in her rooms and became very cold. Believing the room to be empty, she cast a spell at the fireplace to start a fire. Her brother-in-law, Aaron saw the action. He had been a prior suitor and yet felt the rage of having lost her to his much older brother. In rage, he attacked her, calling her a witch and worse things. Hearing the commotion, Cosgrach hurried in and challenged to a duel, fought his brother. He was of lesser strength and energy than the younger man and Aaron mercilessly slew him.

Fearing for her life and that of her unborn child, Olympia fled the room, directed by the magical guide she usually used. Aaron was quicker than she and had use of his sight and anger, however. He caught her as she entered the forest. Though in her complete fear, the young woman lost consciousness, she forever remembered the violations inflicted upon her by the horrible man and was just barely able to send her patronus. Her brother, Godric, came to her rescue and took her to safety after he killed her attacker.

For nearly three months, Olympia would not leave her bed or speak to anyone. She had lost her son and the combined grief with her poor health nearly killed her. Theodora, her sister-in-law, Godric and her father did their best to help her, encouraging her day and night to not give up with their constant affection. Slowly, she recovered, although the scar on her cheek remained however faded to remind her of the ordeal. She left her bed after the fourth month and returned to her beloved instruments, using them to comfort herself and also grieve.

The next six years were given to her without much company, save that of close family. She kept fairly good health and grew a small flower garden with Theodora's help. Godric's daughter's birth was the highlight of the year and she enjoyed the feel of the little baby in her arms, the soft coos sweeter than music to her ears. She found it very amusing that her brother started to call tiny Raine 'Baby' but when the name stuck, she too called the infant by the endearment.

Olympia began to teach her twelve year old niece, Polona the finer use of the harp and soon also took Polona's younger sister, Anastasoula under her tutelage as well. The two girls were a joy for her to teach and she was sad when their mother was forced to make other arrangements due to their father's sudden death.

Now 21, a widow with great wealth from the estate left her by her husband's death, Olympia still did not want for admirers, though her father kept them at bay. Letters still reached her and it was one of these missives that caught her attention as a spell read out the beautiful poetry sent her by the mysterious Agapetos Glenrowan. Three letters came written by script that her quill said was rich, flowing and elegant. Finally she replied, awaiting only a single day before his letter was given to her in reply. Such began their courtship and continued for the next four years, their affection growing as they met in person. Although they had hoped to marry two years from their first meeting, Agapetos was called away on business. His letters remained true and constant but it was another year before he was able to call on her again.

Marriage was not spoken of again, although Olympia especially longs for the seconds chance at wedded bliss snatched away from her prematurely. She also desires another child, this one to raise as the other she was forced to bury. At times she also wishes for a truer purpose for her life. But at present only her writings hold those longings and she contents herself with her music and letters.
